Yesterday (Tuesday April 13, 2010) I flew solo for the first time at Collegedale Municipal Airport (FGU) as I work closer towards my private pilot certification. At about 10:30am I made three smooth takeoffs and landings to full stop without anyone in the right seat. A few hours later my instructor Todd Pettibone (Chief Instructor at
ASI) and I flew a two-hour cross-country from Collegedale to Shelbyville (southeast of Nashville) and back.
